In the multicultural city of Vancouver, you will find Daruma Canada, a unique purveyor of Japanese food product. Our name comes from traditional red Japanese “Daruma dolls” modeled after Bodhidharma, the founder of Zen Buddhism, which symbolize bravery and determination. We chose this name to reflect the drive and perseverance that we bring every day to deliver authentic and previously inaccessible Japanese food product to the Vancouver market. 

In our earliest days, Daruma faced many challenges, but we always firmly believed that as long as we maintain our commitment to world-class product quality and customer service, our customers will reward us with their business and loyalty. We have strived to communicate ceaselessly with our customers in order to better understand their tastes and preferences, and to iteratively improve and expand our product offerings. 

Now, Daruma Canada is divided into two business categories: business to business (B2B) and business to consumer (B2C). As a premier trading company, we specialize in sourcing and distributing high-quality Japanese gourmet products to both businesses and consumers. We are continuously connecting food producers, retailers, and restaurants with discerning customers who appreciate the finest flavors from Japan. In the B2B sector we partner with local retailers and restaurants to provide a diverse range of imported delicacies, popular snacks and beverages. On the B2C side, we cater to food enthusiasts and home cooks by offering a curated selection of ingredients, meal kits, special snack and hobbies in both our own chains and our online platform.
